Italian 19th Century Painted Wood Credenza

An Italian carved and painted wood buffet console from the 19th century. This antique chest from Italy has a rectangular-shaped top with beveled edges and softly rounded front corners, upon a case which houses three drawers set in horizontal fashion across the top, each with a single door beneath them (for a total of three doors). The recessed panel drawers are each fitted with iron pull hardware. The door fronts and either far end of the case each have a raised panel motif. The cabinet is presented upon a heavily molded and flat base with rounded front corners. The primarily color is a stormy blue with green/grey and taupe accents. This handsome 19th century Italian credenza cabinet, with it's great length and storage potential, would work well in a dining area as a buffet, or would be equally as nice used in a living room as a sideboard.
