Swedish Pair Painted Wood Chests, Mid 20th

A Swedish pair of Gustavian style three drawer painted wood chests from the mid 20th century. This pair of vintage chests from Sweden feature clean simple lines softened by the fluted and canted side posts and beveled legs. The slightly overhanging tops mimic in its shape the canted side posts. Each drawer is fitted with a pair of ring-pull hardware flanking an escutcheon keyhole at center. The new custom finish is a wheat/taupe and grey palette with a complimentary darker grey accent trim. Please note that this is a near-pair of chests, as there are some slight differences in sizing (which would be unrecognizable when separated, unless very closely inspected). The chests measure: 33.25"W x 18.75"D x 33"H and 33.5"H x 19.75"D x 33.5"H. These Swedish Gustavian style chests, with their clean lines and neutral colors, would work well in both a bedroom setting or living room perhaps flanking a larger seating arrangement.
