18th C. Italian 2-Drawer Petite Side Chest

An Italian two-drawer raised side chest, with lovely inlays and veneer, from the 18th century. This antique side chest from Italy is adorn throughout with beautifully veneered wood grain set in a book-matched pattern with triangular appearance, and embellished about the top, front, and both sides with a large ribbon circle inlay design. The chest houses two drawers; a smaller drawer at top with deeply set drawer beneath. This chest is presented nicely upon four elegantly curved cabriole style legs. Please note that there is some staining to the top of this piece (refer to images for more detail). This 18th century Italian petite chest is the perfect piece where a smaller sized chest is needed; perhaps as a small nightstand, or used as an end table with storage next to your favorite reading chair.
