Swedish Gustavian Style Tall Grey Cabinet

A Swedish Gustavian style tall enclosed storage cabinet from the early 19th century. This antique cabinet from Sweden has been designed with Gustavian influences, stands approximately 6.5 feet in height, and houses four decoratively raised-panel doors; two pairs of doors, one set atop the other. The cabinet features a raised and stacked molded cornice, raised panel doors adorn in a reeded diamond-shaped and scalloped oval-shaped medallion motif. This piece is raised slightly above the ground on five petite feet. The grey finish is not new but a later addition. Note that there area few pieces of wood that have been added, but mostly original. The cabinet breaks down into two pieces for easier transport and installation. Upper piece is 44" in height, bottom is 35.25" in height. Interior measurements for the top are 45"W x 15"D x 39"H and top two shelves are removable (bottom is fixed). This Gustavian style Swedish cabinet from the early 19th century is such a wonderfully versatile piece which could provide useful storage in just about any room of the home!
