Early 19th C. French Bleached Wood Commode

A French bleached wood commode with nice hardware from the early 19th century. This antique chest from France features a rectangular-shaped top over the case which houses three full-sized, graduated drawers. Each of the drawers are dove-tailed and fitted with brass Neoclassical bale pulls and wreathed escutcheons at their center. The chest is raised on nicely turned legs at front, with rear legs simple and squared. The bleached finish is complimented with a cream accent trim. This French Neoclassical period chest would work really well in a bedroom as a dresser, or perhaps in a foyer or living area with decorative items atop and storage within.
