Italian Serpentine Chest w/Cloven Hoof Feet

An Italian serpentine chest of three drawers, with front cloven feet, from the turn of the 18th and 19th century. This antique chest from Italy has been designed with a curved, serpentine-shaped body, with linenfold style design that carries down the front, and recessed arched panels at sides. The case houses three full-sized drawers, flanked within curved/cartouche style side posts, and each fitted with brass pulls and escutcheon at their center. The chest is raised on short, cabriole style legs at front that terminate into cloven hoof feet. There is a new custom finish in a light wash of beige/wheat color, complimented with a white accent trim. This late 18th century Italian chest, with its soft curves and great feet, will be a wonderful case piece for your storage and display needs.
