An English pair of petite mahogany wood side chests on slender legs, from the 19th century. These antique end tables from England have square-shaped tops with a raised pie-crust lip which outlines the sides and rear top, with front side of top being open and ever so slightly bowed outward. The case houses a single door at its front, which opens to reveal an open cubie for storage within, and is fitted with a nicely decorative hanging pull. The chests are each presented upon four slender, squared legs. The mahogany wood is aging with some cracks; a reflection of its age and use. This pair of 19th century English raised side chests, with their smaller proportions of approximately 14.25 inch square, are perfectly sized for use as bedside, or end tables for a more intimate seating arrangement.
