18th C. Portuguese Raised Chest, Dark Teal
This Item Is On HoldA Portuguese painted wood raised, serpentine chest of two drawers, with ball and claw feet, from the 18th century. This antique chest from Portugal is abundant with softly curved lines; a top with projected front corners and and a serpentine carved front-side (continuing down the drawer fronts), carved and scalloped skirt on three sides, and raised on shapely legs that terminate into ball and claw carved feet. The chest houses two drawers, each fitted with their original, and highly ornate hardware. There is a new custom finish; primarily in a wonderfully rich teal color. Please note that there have been some prior old repairs (mostly to the top and drawers) and the drawers do not fit super tight and have a slight warp. This 18th century Portuguese raised chest, with its original hardware and ball & claw feet will make a wonderful accent case piece for your home!
