French 1960's Demi Consoles w/Wire Doors
A French pair of wooden demi console cabinets, with wire panel front doors, from the mid 20th century. These mid-century cabinets from France each have an elongated demi-lune shape, over a bowed case below which houses a pair of wire-panel front doors (nice quality mesh) set at center, which open to interior shelving for display and storage opportunities inside. Each far side is flanked with a recessed panel, and petite flower head medallion carvings are found at the top frieze (at front side posts). This chest is raised upon four short spaded legs. The backs are flat, as to be placed against a wall. The cabinets have been stripped to the natural wood grain, and are complimented with a custom charcoal trim accent. These French demi-shaped, wire-front cabinets, circa 1960's, are a great pair of consoles, while also providing an artful opportunity to display objects along their tops and lower shelves.
