An 18th century Italian commode with canted drawers and hand-painted details. This antique Italian three-drawer commode has been uniquely designed with large canted drawers, and top which mimics this shape, giving this piece an robust chest. There are hand-painted scrolling and fanned acanthus leaves which adorn the drawer fronts and side. The top is wood grain, and overall this chest shows exquisite patina from age and history of use. This chest has wood pull knobs and is raised upon bun feet. This fabulous 18th century Italian commode with canted front would be a show stopper in an entry foyer or living room, perhaps decorated with a pair of lamps and mirror above.
