2-Sided British Colonial Cabinet
An early 20th century British Colonial tall two-door, dual sided display. This antique British Colonial Indian cabinet features versatility with the option of viewing the cabinet from either sides. Side "A" features a glass paneled display-styled front with two nicely decorated lower panels which have oval-shaped carvings with reeded rays and a single flower set at their centers. This display side "A" does not open and is only accessible from the reverse side of the cabinet. Side "B" features a pair of three-recessed paneled carved wood doors with raised centers, flanked by oblong fluted trim accenting the side posts. There are three interior shelves, and a lower storage area whose items would remain hidden from view at either cabinet side once the doors are closed. There is an overhanging upper cornice and the cabinet is raised nicely on a plain skirted platform with four squared legs. This piece breaks down into 2 pieces. This cabinet is washed in a light grey with much of it's wood grain showing throughout. This early 20th century British Colonial Indian cabinet, with it's dual sided functionality, offers a great many uses for storage or display. This tall cabinet would work well floated within a room should you desire, perhaps as a small visual barrier to break up a larger room.
