An Italian 18th century side chest with hidden back-side open shelf. This antique side chest/table from Italy features two faux drawers over a functioning bottom drawer, with open backside (behind the upper faux drawers). Each drawer is adorn with their original lion's head ring pulls and escutcheons at center. There is a slightly raised lip along the top side and rear edges. This chest is presented nicely upon four gently tapered, squared legs which terminate into brass front feet at the front. This 18th century Italian chest is such a cute size, perfect for a side table, offering a great space on the backside keep all those remote controls and whatnot hidden out of sight.
