19th C. Coffer w/Original Hand-Painting

A European storage chest from the 19th century. This antique trunk, with it's rectangular-shaped body, features it's original hand-painted decorations about the top front sides in a paisley and foliage motif within framed squares, and it's original iron hardware. The top lifts to reveal an open interior for storage. Various areas are showing wear, but we find that only adds character to this antique piece and does not interfere with form or function. This 19th century hand-painted wood coffer will be a great piece with functional storage, perfect for storing blankets in a guest bedroom or family room space.
