Pair Italian Style Cabinets, Early 20th C.
A pair early 20th century, nicely detailed Italian inspired, American made cabinets by furniture makers Henry Fuldner & Sons, NY. This pair of antique Italian style buffet cabinets each feature rectangular-shaped tops with a carved dentil molded accent trim at their undersides, decoratively paneled cases, with exquisitely carved skirts with a rope and ball motif, presented upon bracket feet with volute carvings. Each buffet houses three drawers along the top, a longer central drawer flanked by a petite drawer at either far end. The pair of doors, accentuated at their centers by robustly carved wood knob-pulls, each open to reveal storage within. One interior cabinet has a single adjustable wood shelf, the other houses five drawers. These pieces are washed in a taupe/gray color, with hints of blue that show through in various areas, and accented in a fawn/beige trim.
