A pair of French two-drawer side chests with marble tops from the mid 20th century. This pair of vintage commodes from France each feature a stone top with an ogee bull edge & rounded corners, resting atop a wood case of cartouche carved panel drawers with decorative brass hardware, arched panel sides, and have elegantly swagged skirts with a pierced carving at center. The chests are presented upon petite cabriole legs terminating into pad-style feet. Primary coloring is a neutral cream/bone wash with lighter highlights accenting the trim details. This pair of smaller-sized French commodes would work well flanking a bed or sofa.
