Swedish 19th C. Curved Clock

Swedish 19th C. Curved Clock | Item# 404

22"width 9"depth 79"height

An exquisite Swedish 19th century floor clock with carved crest topped with a ball. This Swedish clock has very subtle and pretty painted details. The face features two series of numbers. The clock is dated (1859) and signed on the body itself. The door comes off completely. Along with the head, the bottom part is another nice feature of the clock with its scalloped and volutes decorated design. This clock would be wonderful as a decorative object and is not currently in working condition, but can be quartzed to keep perfect time, for an additional cost. A quartz battery would then be added behind the face. The original hands are too heavy to carry the quartz movement, so they would be changed to black hands, similar in style. The clock would then chime (the chime can be turned off even though the sound is quite delightful.) A pendulum selected to work with the quartz movement would be added behind the glass opening. Should you decide to purchase this clock and have it quartzed, let us know and we will adjust the price accordingly.

Price: $5,512.
