Swedish 19th C. Painted Grandfather Clock
A 19th century painted wood Swedish long-case clock with distinct curvy rain drop shape. This clock retains its original metal face, hands and movement. This tall Swedish floor clock is painted an overall mix of grey tones with a plum purple and navy blue trim. Some wood emerges through the layers of paint. This piece would look great in an entryway, living room, office or perhaps bedroom. This clock would be wonderful as a decorative object and is not currently in working condition, but can be quartzed to keep perfect time, for an additional cost. A quartz battery would then be added behind the face. Its original hands are too heavy to carry the quartz movement, so they would be changed to black hands, similar in style. This clock would then chime (the chime can be turned off even though the sound is quite delightful). A pendulum selected to work with the quartz movement would be added behind its glass opening.
