A 19th century Swedish floor clock. This antique clock from Sweden is simple and unassuming with it's round-shaped head, minimally adorn with a curved top crest, an elongated neck moves down onto the tear drop shaped belly, uplifting trim molding defines the waist, leading your eyes down onto the gentle lines of the base, which is raised with scalloped skirt in front. The clock face retains it's original face with an early movement, which has always only had a single hand (as you can see pictured in the additional images.) The general color is a light blue grey with a charcoal trim about the face. The clock would be wonderful as a decorative object and is not currently in working condition, but can be quartzed to keep perfect time, for an additional cost. A quartz battery would then be added behind the face. The original hands are too heavy to carry the quartz movement, so they would be changed to black hands, similar in style. The clock would then chime (the chime can be turned off even though the sound is quite delightful.) This Swedish 19th century clock would be wonderful in a bedroom setting, as well as a living room or entry hallway.
