Ancient Chalcedony Seal Pendant

An ancient chalcedony uncarved seal from the middle east, B.C. This ancient seal pendant is on a custom brushed 22k solid gold pendant with 22k gold bail. This pendant features a chalcedony gemstone, which is a type of quartz, and one of the world's oldest gemstones. The color is a smokey grey/mauve which is semi-transparent. The shape of the seal is that of a domed pyramid with a more flat, though slightly convex underside. Please note that there is an old, small chip to one side of the gemstone, which is to be expected for a seal of this age. This ancient seal pendant measures approximately 1 7/16" tall (including bail), 7/16" wide and 6/16" deep.
