A 19th Century Swedish Floor Clock
This Item Is ClosedA 19th century Swedish grandfather clock. This 19th century Swedish painted wood clock features a linear profile. Its rectangular shaped head surrounds the pewter ring face with Roman numbers over a gilded background. The bonnet is topped with a tear-drop motif in its center. The clock is raised on four small bun feet. The general color is a light green with some blue accents. The trim is more of a grey. This clock would be wonderful as a decorative object and is not currently in working condition, but it can be quartzed to keep perfect time, for an additional cost. A quartz battery would then be added behind the face. The original hands are too heavy to carry the quartz movement, so they would be changed to black hands, similar in style. The clock would then chime (the chime can be turned off even though the sound is quite delightful.)
