British Colonial Teak Hanging Porch Bed

A British Colonial hanging day bed of teak wood from the early 20th century. This antique Anglo-Indian tropical chaise daybed is made to be suspended from the ceiling. It is nicely sized at over 6 feet in width and over 3 feet in depth. There is nicely smooth, rounded edging about the edges and at each corner, the original iron o-ring is in place, ready for hanging. Teak is a tropical hardwood particularly valued for its durability and water resistance, and this piece has a lovely aged patina. We always recommend a licensed contractor to install a piece such as this to ensure safety to both the bed and it's user. Note that table base in additional images was used for display purposes and is not included with the bed.
