Italian Pair Baroque-Style 19th C. Benches

An Italian pair of Baroque-style carved-wood benches with storage from the 19th century. This antique pair of wood benches from Italy are each designed with Baroque influences with the rectangular-seat top overhanging a case below with shell carved prominently at front center, and a curvy outline of scrolls framing the sides and skirt at front. The benches are presented upon four large paw-carved feet that project outwardly at sides. The seat top lifts up to reveal ample storage inside (perfect for blankets, coats, boots, or games). The wood has a lovely aged patina and has been complimented with a custom creamy/taupe trim color. The backsides of these benches remain unfinished, making best use for them against a wall. These 19th century Italian Baroque style benches, each approximately 5.25 feet in length, will make for an impressive statement together in a large entry hall, mudroom, or living room area.
