An Antique Crokinole Game Table
An American gaming table from the late 19th to early 20th century. This turn of the century game table features a painted wood crokinole game board top which rests upon an iron pedestal base with quadripod feet. The crokinole game is thought to have originated in Canada (developed by a blend of several European and East Indian games) in the 1860's and become an enduring family game of dexterity ever since. The hand-painted game board has a recessed center piece with a lower "ditch" around the circle's exterior and is framed within an octagon-shaped rail top. The iron base is beautiful with it's bulbous center and four feet designed and accented with a scrolling motif. The table has a wonderful aged patina throughout the top and base. This antique crokinole game table would be a fun and whimsical addition to your library, family room, or perhaps a sun-room.
