Neoclassical Console with Mirror
A Swedish Empire period elm wood console with marble top and mirror from the early 19th century. This Neoclassical Swedish carved console and mirror feature a bleached elm wood body, which has been accented with curly birch wood and decorative inlay details. The table base has a white, rectangular-shaped marble top, and is raised on balled feet. The beveled mirror is flanked by a pair of semi-columns, drawing the eye upward to it's inlay and molded cornice, it gives this piece a stature of over 7.5 feet tall. This handsome Swedish Neoclassical console with mirror, with it's shallow depth, offers a great design solution for a smaller entryway or end of hall, while taking up less floor space.
