A Tall Center Table w/ Églomisé Sunburst

A mid century American iron table with églomisé star mirrored top. This vintage table features a round-shaped, mirrored top for which attention is immediately drawn to the verre églomisé star or sunburst at the mirror's center. Verre églomisé, a French term dating back to pre-Roman eras, is the technique by which a design and gilding is applied to the rear side of the glass, with artistic detail being visible from the front. The top is held within an iron frame with rippled edging, and raised upon five slender and elegantly drawn-out c-scrolled legs. The underside center of the table has a circular brace, supporting the legs, and mimicking the top with its rippled edging. The iron has a gold finish. This table stands 35.5" tall, falling between counter and bar height. This églomisé sunburst top center table would be a fabulous statement piece, with its mirror and gold reflecting light beautifully within a space, perhaps as a welcoming and cheerful addition to an entry foyer.
