French Oak Trestle Table or Desk, 19th C.
A French trestle leg table or desk from the 19th century. This antique table from France, approximately 6.5 feet in length, features a rectangular-shaped top, which is lighter shade from the rest of the body, and raised by a pair of trestle style legs. The trestle legs, one at each far end, are comprised of a single baluster-style carved post at center which rests upon a flat base. Each leg/base is then supported with a wooden stretcher beam which runs along the floor between the trestle bases. The bleached oak table, with it's lighter top surface, has been highlighted in a pale blue/seafoam coloring about the top edges and carved accents on each leg. This 19th century French table is a great medium size, allowing for much versatility in use; possibly as a smaller dining table, a library table, or the perfect desk for your study.Dimensions
