Swedish Pedestal Table w/Side Leaves

A Swedish writing table with drop leaf sides from the mid 19th century. This antique table from Sweden, of mahogany wood, has a rectangular-shaped top, with drop leaf sides that can be raised to enlarge the work area, atop a spiral-carved central column which rests on a curvy platform base. The table is raised on curled feet, which extend out on four corners from the base.
