An Italian walnut wood nicely-carved trestle-leg table with decorative forged-iron stretcher, from the 18th century. This antique table from Italy features a rectangular-shaped top, which is raised upon a pair of lyre-shaped, trestle-styled legs, which have been beautifully hand-carved with raised volutes, scrolls, and diamond patterns. At the underside of the table are a pair of elegant hand-forged iron stretchers, with leaf accents, that create visual interest, and further embellishment to this piece. The walnut wood has a rich, warm patina; a reflection of it's history and age.
