A Swedish period Gustavian painted wood table from the early 19th century. This antique table from Sweden has been designed in simple, clean lines, featuring an over-hung rectangular-shaped top, above an apron that houses a single drawer with wooden knob pull. This table is raised on four squared legs, that taper towards their feet. The wood has an early (possibly original) painted finish in white with a very pale blue along with wood grain showing through from beneath. Note that should you wish to remove the top (for transport or cleaning) that the top is removable by pulling the pegs to release it (see images). This Swedish period Gustavian table is an understated and beautiful table, versatile in its use and functionality.
