A French Neoclassical petite console table, with marble top and carved urn finial accent at underside, from the 19th century. This antique table from France features a half-moon shaped marble top with flattened backside (so that it can rest comfortably against a wall) which rests upon an elaborately adorn wood frame with pierce-carved apron, and generous swags of garland hanging down from the skirt. The table is presented upon four rounded and flute-carved legs, with acanthus leaf wraps emphasized about their knees, are braced just above their toupie-style feet with stretcher bars having a neoclassical three dimensionally-carved urn where they meet at center, with flowers at center and floral garlands gently cascading down each side. The marble top is primarily a blush/salmon color which is complimented by the gilt wood (a later finish). This 19th century Neoclassic French gilt demi-lune table with marble top, is sure to be an eye-catching addition to any home- a cute, versatile size, great for smaller spaces!
