Pair Starburst Mirror Top French End Tables

A French pair of wooden pedestal table bases which have been topped with new, artisan crafted, round mirror tops. This vintage pair of side tables from France each feature a rounded pedestal, with a fluted banding accent mid-way up the pedestal, which is raised upon a squared platform base with concave cut-outs at each side. The black pedestals are topped with a newly made 17.5" diameter round-shaped artisan mirror; each with a verre églomisé sunburst at center. The gold verre églomisé star, is artfully crafted to show patina, with remaining glass having an antiqued finish. Verre églomisé, a French term dating back to pre-Roman eras, is the technique by which a design and gilding is applied to the rear side of the glass, with artistic detail being visible from the front. This pair of French pedestal sunburst mirrored top end or drinks tables will make a beautiful statement flanking a seating arrangement within a living area.
