An English beautifully-carved wood demi-lune table from the 19th century. This antique console table from England features a half-moon shaped top which overhands and rests upon an apron adorn in bands of foliage-carved trim with Greek key trim beneath. The four exquisitely carved legs, have lion's heads at their tops, with acanthus wrapped volutes which become squared legs that tapper gently towards their square-pad feet with leaf-carved wraps. This 19th century English "lion's head" demi console would be an exceptionally handsome addition to an entry foyer, living room, or study.
