Spanish "Serpentine" Table w/Glass Top

A Spanish occasional table with metal base and glass top, from the mid 20th century. This vintage table from Spain features a round-shaped glass top, which rests upon an iron base with circular top that has been forged into a twisted design. The top is raised upon three slender legs, which terminate in upward fashion from the feet into open-mouthed serpents. The legs are braced at underside of table, with a curvy stretcher bar with snake form, continuing the serpentine motif. The metal frame has a gold finish with nicely aged patina. This mid-century Spanish serpentine table is a unique and versatile piece, without being overly heavy or taking up too much space visually in a room.
