Spanish Stretcher Table, Early 19th C

A Spanish trestle-leg wooden table, with decorative forged-iron stretcher, from the early 19th century. This antique table from Spain features a rectangular-shaped top, which is raised upon a pair of tilted, saw-horse styled legs, with a wood beam supporting them just above their feet. The underside of the table is braced by a beautifully hand-forged iron stretcher, reminiscent of a bell shape, and creates visual interest and further embellishment to this piece. The wood has a rich, and warm patina; a reflection of it's history and age. This early 19th century Spanish trestle table with iron stretcher offers numerous potential for use; perhaps as an occasional table, a small desk, or console table.
