A French pair of carved-wood side tables with open shelf from the turn of the 19th and 20th century. These antique fruitwood tables from France each feature a top with beautifully scalloped raised lip at each side and back, atop a case that houses an open-cubie/shelf at its front, adorn with pierced cut-out heart designs at each outer side, and a nicely-carved skirt on all sides. The tables are raised on elegantly curvy legs that terminate into a really nice contemporary version of hoof carved feet. These late 19th century French tables are rare to find as a matching pair; together they would make lovely bedside nightstands, or side tables for a sitting arrangement.
