A French Neoclassic style console table, with marble top, from the early 20th century. This small-sized antique table from France features an oblong, demi-shaped marble top with blunt/canted projections at forward corners, which rests atop an apron which has been beautifully adorn in a swirling leaves and flowers, framed within a petite bead trim. Flower-heads are carved within the apron just above the pair of rounded and flute-carved legs, with acanthus leaf wraps emphasized about their knees and feet. A carved c-curved stretcher braces the legs at their ankles, and a Neoclassical three-dimensional carved sits atop the middle/center. The black marble top is nicely contrasted by the primarily taupe finish. This early 20th century French Neoclassic wall-mounted console with marble top, is just shy of 2.5 feet in width, making this a great piece for a niche or smaller spaces!
