A French Neoclassical carved and painted wood demi lune console, with marble top and brass accents, from the 19th century. This antique table from France has a black marble top (with gray and white veining), with demi-style shape as the rear/wall side is long and flat, with a shorter/straight frontside, flanked within rounded front accents that flow into concaved sides. The apron houses a single recessed panel door at center, with brass trim and a Neoclassic "bow-tie" style escutcheon with key. The rounded front side posts are wrapped with brass, and side panels are outlined in brass as to mimic the design of the drawer at front. This table is presented upon four rounded and fluted legs, which are supported with a lower shelf approximately 3/ of the way towards the floor, and then smoother legs terminating into brass feet. There is a newer custom painted finish, primarily in gray, as to compliment the black marble top, with areas of wood still showing through in some areas. This 19th century French Neoclassical table, with it's smaller footprint just shy of 3 feet in width, would make for a fabulous little entry table, an accent table for a hall/stair landing; a versatile piece for just about any room!
