A French marble top console table, with carved urn finial accent at underside, from the 19th century. This antique table from France has an oblong shaped top, with break-front design at front, with softly rounded sides, and a flattened backside (as to be placed against a wall). The original marble is recessed into the top, which is raised upon a wood frame with floral-carved and petite beaded trim about the apron and a bow-tie prominently featured at front center. The four tapering cylindrical legs, flute and chandelle carved, have carved flower heads framed at their tops within the apron, and wrapped in acanthus leaves further adorn their upper perimeter. The legs are braced with carved stretcher bars, which are adorn at their central intersection with a neoclassical-inspired three dimensional urn with foliage gently cascading out of each side. The wood has a new custom finish with soft grey and beige tones. The white marble top is removable for easier transport and installation. This 19th century French console table, with marble top and elegant Neoclassic carvings, will make a lovely addition to your home!
