Italian Round Marquetry Top Pedestal Table

An Italian round occasional table with decorative inlay top from the 19th century. This antique table from Italy features a 31" diameter round top that is adorn with marquetry inlay in a geometric medallion at center with inlay bands circling around it about the edges. The inlay banding continues about the perimeter of the apron, just beneath the top. The table is presented upon a nicely-turned central pedestal column and shapely tripod feet. The medium tone wood has nice graining and an aged patina throughout. This 19th century Italian pedestal side table would work really well as an occasional or side table in a living area, or perhaps between two chairs as a drinks table.
