Neoclassical Period Italian Console Table

An Italian Neoclassical period carved wood console table, with original finish and original marble top, from the turn of the 18th and 19th century. This antique table from Italy has a rectangular-shaped marble top with beveled edging which rests atop the wood base and has a wood trim surround about the top perimeter. The apron is outlined in a beautiful trim about three sides with a flower at center and framed rosettes carved at each corner. The table is presented upon four rounded, tapering, and flute carved legs. Everything on this table is original. The original marble top is comprised of various shades of soothing grey with white and taupe veining. The original wood finish is mostly a brownish/latte color with buttery hues, and a bronze/gold accent trim. This period Neoclassical Italian table is approximately 3.75 feet in width and will make an attractive console for a foyer or living room.
