Italian Demi Console- One of a Kind Piece!

A beautiful Italian demi-lune table, with book-matched veneer and painted/gilt finish, from the mid 20th century. This mid-century table from Italy features a half-moon shaped top in an attractive pie-sliced bookmatched veneer design, with wood graining continuing onto the apron below. The skirt is a lovely contrast to the top, as the remainder of this piece is painted in coral and pink hues with gilt embellishing the shell and scroll motif that dances playfully about the skirt line. The table is presented upon three fluidly carved legs, adorn with geometric and foliate accents, which are risen upon a D-shaped box stretcher with profiled/squared feet. This unique Italian demi-lune table is a one of a kind piece which would be a fabulous statement in an entry foyer or living room.
