Italian 19th C. Console, Arrow & Urn Motif

An Italian carved wood console table, with its original painted finish, from the 19th century. This antique table from Italy has a slender, rectangular top over an apron with beautifully pierce-carved repeating arrow and urn motif about three sides, and carved flower heads anchoring each corner. The table is presented upon four squared and tapering legs. The table retains its original painted finish in black with gold accents, with a wonderfully aged patina throughout and much of the top board now showing the natural wood grain. The backside of the table remains un-adorn so best use would be placed against a wall. This 19th century Italian table has a shallow depth of approximately 15 inches, making it a perfect option where a more slender, space-saving piece is desired.
