Swedish Period Baroque Table (or Island!)
A beautiful turn of the 17th and 18th century Swedish period Baroque wooden table. This antique table from Sweden features a rectangular-shaped top, with rounded corners, which overhangs the apron below that features a carved skirt-line about all four sides (making for a great option to be floated within a room). The table is presented upon four nicely turned baluster style legs, each braced within a box stretcher with flat rail top about their ankles, and terminating into squared/block carved feet. This piece has an attractive bleached wood finish, with the top piece and various trim accents having a complimentary wash of beige. Note that the top is old, but likely replaced the original. This table breaks down in two pieces- making for easier transport and installation. This early 18th century Swedish period Baroque occasional table would be quite handsome in a living room, study, or perhaps as an island within a kitchen.
