Neoclassical French Console w/White Marble
A French Neoclassical console table, with original finish and marble, from the early 19th century. This antique table from France has rectangular-shaped white marble top (with subtly-projected corners that add interest to the top) which rests upon an apron embellished with petite bead carved trimming and foliate, star, and scroll motifs adorning it along three sides. The front side houses a full-sized drawer within its center. The table is presented upon four squared and flute-carved legs, which gently taper and terminate into squared peg feet. The original finish is primarily cream and gold with subtle hints of green. The original white marble has soft grey and taupe veining. This Neoclassical period French console table, approximately four feet in width, will make a lovely addition to an entry foyer, dining or living area.
