Pair Italian Shell Carved Wall Shelves

A pair of Italian early 19th century carved shell wall shelves, similar in appearance, with marble tops. This small pair of decorative wall displays have been custom fashioned from early 19th century (or earlier) Italian shell-carved wood fragments, which have been set into a reclaimed wood casing and topped with white marble. The white marble top is flat along sides with a bowed front. The shell carvings are similar in appearance, though if you look closely one has more carved elements at it's bottom center. This pair of Italian wall mounted shelves would work well hung and used as small side table/drinks servers, or perhaps in a living room or foyer decorated atop with a nice piece of art or floral arrangements.
