Vintage Pair Italian Gold Grotto Arm-Chairs

An Italian pair of gold tone grotto style armchairs with upholstered seats, from the mid/later part of the 20th century. These vintage accent chairs, circa 1970's, each feature a clam shell carved backs (typical of grotto style), with arms coming out from each side and supported on curvy front arm posts, and an upholstered seat set within a rounded but cleanly molded seat frame. The chairs are raised upon four sabre legs, with fluted notches carved as accents on the front pair. The wood has a shiny gold finish throughout. The fabric is raw silk, but due to some staining, likely time for a refresher and use the opportunity to customize these chairs to fit your personal aesthetic! Arm height is approximately 26.5". This vintage pair of Italian grotto style armchairs will add a vibrant and cheerful pop of gold color to your home; they'd make a great pair of accent chairs for a bedroom!
