Empire-Style Crystal Chandeliers, France
A pair of French empire-style six-light chandeliers from the early to mid 20th century. These glorious chandeliers from France are each decorated in flowing strands of crystals, which swag down gracefully from the upper canopy, then drape from their gallery to their central undersides, giving them their basket-shaped bodies. The upper brass corona, adorn with petite glass-cut flowers, projects a gentle waterfall of crystal spears dropping about the perimeter. The central gallery rings, of matching brass armature, have square cut-glass and hanging crystals which decorate the exterior banding. Six brass arms appear from the the central ring, each supporting their brass bobeches with painted candle sleeves at centers. A circle of dangling prisms make up the lower finial of these pieces. This striking pair of antique French crystal chandeliers have each been rewired for the US and come with a complimentary 3 foot chain and canopy painted to match.
