19th C. Neoclassical 2-Door Cabinet, Italy
An Italian two-door cabinet with original hand-painted finish, from the 19th century. This antique buffet console from Italy feature a rectangular-shaped top with hand-painted, faux-marble finish, atop a case which has been adorn in neoclassical painted bows of garland on the two door fronts and sides, and is presented upon four flute carved, spade feet. Petitely-carved flower head medallions, and foilage carvings embellish the chest, with a rope-carved trim outlining the bottom of the skirt. This hand-painted cabinet retains it's original gilt and finish, with primary color palette in shades of green and white. Note that the backside of this cabinet has had more recent modifications, as a door has been cut out at one side, with hole for cord, allowing ease of access should you use this to house electronics inside. This 19th century Italian Neoclassic-painted cabinet with faux-marble top will make a lovely decorative storage and display piece- perfect for a foyer, kitchen, dining, or bedroom.
