Italian Pair Marquetry Veneered Comodini

An Italian pair of wooden comodini with beautiful marquetry veneer. This vintage pair of chests from Italy each are adorn about the top and front facade with an exquisite display of marquetry veneer and inlays with banding and foliate decor, large floral medallions giving emphasis at center, and beautiful urns splaying with scrolling leaves about the sides. The case houses three full-sized and graduated drawers, each fitted with a pair of round bail pulls with floral back-plates. The chests are presented on four spaded legs which too are embellished with the marquetry veneer. Please note that one of the chests has some bubbling to the veneer, though it is hard to see unless closely inspected. These Italian marquetry veneered comodini would work fabulously as a pair of oversized nightstands in a bedroom, or perhaps flanking a seating arrangement, or perhaps a lovely pair of case pieces for a living room or study.
