A French Neoclassical-style painted wood chest of drawers, with faux marble top, from the mid 20th century. This vintage chest from France, designed in traditional Neoclassical fashion, features a rectangular-shaped with pronounced and rounded front corners, over a case with rounded and flute-carved front side posts that flank a pair of half-sized drawers (set horizontally) over two full-sized, graduated drawers. There are a total of four drawers, each fitted with swagged garland themed pulls. This commode is presented upon tapering and flute-carved conical legs that taper towards their feet. This piece retains its original painted finish, primarily cream with hints of blue trim, and a salmon colored faux marble painted top.
